What We Do

BBW_4780_1.jpgBSC gives Nepali women the opportunity to lift their families out of poverty by assisting them to set up a business or improve the management of their existing enterprises. Our aim is to assist in developing their entrepreneurial talent, their creativity and intuition, and their problem solving skills. An additional goal is to enhance women’s self esteem through encouragement and motivation and by giving them a chance to make conscious choices.

In order to meet these goals we provide entrepreneurship development support that is compatible with their household commitments. We also ensure that the business development services provided by us are flexible and comprehensive and in line with their needs. Similarly, because we believe that the marketplace is the key factor for any enterprise development, we also provide real market exposure and the opportunities to improve their skills to match market demands.

We do not provide loans, rather we provide skills, exposure to the market and new business approaches and product development and design (PD&D which, cumulatively, are the key factors for the sustainability of any business. By taking these steps, we believe that more Nepali women will transition from the informal to the formal sector, become financially independent and free from financial dependence on their families, and become fully in charge of the welfare of their own children.
