Surya Nepal Awards Five Social Entrepreneurs

On the 21st November 2011, Sabita Maharjan of Kirtipur, one of the women supported by BSC, received the “Surya Nepal Social Entrepreneurship Award 2011”. For the last 15 years, Sabita has been helping women from her community who went through to the same painful experiences (she is herself victim of violence in her own family) with literacy and numeracy classes, saving and credit programme and employment in her own knitting production centre.
